Measure Pad

Measure Pad is a product developed in an industrial design course under the theme of making measurement a more familiar part of everyday life. By allowing length to be handled as it is, rather than converting it into numbers or words, the project explores how the act of measuring can become more intuitive and more naturally embedded in daily life.

I began from the thought that the common experience of “getting the size wrong” may stem from the psychological and physical distance people feel toward measuring in the first place. In response, I designed a memo pad with a roll of paper that can be pulled out and used directly as a measure, proposing a way for measuring to become a more natural part of everyday life.
